Out of Ohio comes guitarist/vocalist David Meese (not to confuse with David Meece, the Christian rocker). His CD 'Hold on!' is basically filled with 80's typed American Melodic (Hard) Rock. Instrumental it all sounds very good, partly due to the help of multi-instrumentalist Stephe who also produced the record. He did a very good job, but the only thing I need to add here is that the lead vocals of David are a bit average. The CD starts with "True lovers", a slow tempo rocker with some 80's partyrock references (a la CRUE). A nice first track, but the best songs can be found towards the end of the album. These are "I know you are the one" (cheerful uptempo melodic rocker) and "Time" (midtempo melodic rocker). In these songs the vocals of David sound better and also the sound is pure melodic rock. Weaker songs are tunes like "I need love", "Bring it on home" and "Come on". Check out David's music at: http://stephe-wilson.home.att.net and e-mail him at: Arel-Recording@att.net
